Ruhe

*Ruhe* is a lieder recital rudely interrupted by people wanting to talk to someone about their voluntary service in the German SS in 1940. The point was to seek harmony, as it is for singers today, and like any choir with ambition, there wasn’t room for anyone singing out of tune.

Conceived by Josse De Pauw, with scenography by Herman Sorgeloos, and acted by Carly Wijs, Dirk Roofthooft, Tom Janssen and Josse De Pauw, this much-talked-about and successful performance will enter its last season.

After more than hundred performances in dozens of cities and world capitals such as Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Sydney and Singapore, the production can be seen for a last time in Norway, France and Belgium.
