Atelier Bach jeunes solistes

Du 10 au 14 avril 2021, le Collegium Vocale Gent organise un atelier Bach pour jeunes chanteurs solistes !
Pendant cinq jours, le chef d’orchestre Philippe Herreweghe et la basse Peter Kooij accompagneront de jeunes talents dans l’univers des cantates de Bach.

Bach workshop young soloists 10 – 14 April 2021

This workshop offers young singers/soloists the opportunity to work intensively with Philippe Herreweghe and Peter Kooij on a number of beautiful Bach arias with a small continuo group. The singers are selected via an online audition.

Singers who can apply :

• Are studying/holding a Master’s degree (not necessarily specialised in Bach)
• Have to be available from April 10 until 14th 2021
• Are born after January 1st, 1990

Deadlines

• Deadline for application: March 1st 2021
• All candidates will be informed of the results of the audition on March 15th 2021
• Candidates who did not pass the audition will also be informed
• Collegium Vocale Gent will not provide any feedback on the auditions
• Selected candidates will be contacted mid-March 2021 for the practical organization of the Workshop

Conditions

• Collegium Vocale Gent does not cover travel costs from/to home
• Collegium Vocale Gent does not cover accommodation costs but provides practical support for the booking of the accommodation
• Collegium Vocale Gent will provide lunch during the rehearsals and a meal before or after the presentation
• The working language will be English

Application Requirement

• Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
• Video

Each applicant has to make 1 video of maximum 12 minutes containing the following elements:

• Introduction: first & last name;
• Excerpt: sing one of the required arias and one recitativo (see below)

The musical fragments should be recorded in one shot. This means your video can be an edit of two shorter videos. The pitch should be A=415 Hz. Upload your video on Youtube (choose for the option ‘hidden’) and copy/past the Youtube-link into the provided field of the application form. Thanks to share only 1 link containing all required elements (not 2 separate links). Thanks to put your name and voice in the title of the video.

1. Fill in the application form you can find here before 2021, March1st. As stated above, you need a link to a hidden Youtube video;
2. send your CV (PDF) to pauline@collegiumvocale.com .

Once they have applied, candidates will receive a confirmation email within a few days.
